Annanpakshi (Mythical Bird): The top of the lamp features the Annanpakshi, symbolizing grace, divinity, and spirituality. This mythical bird is a blend of a swan and peacock and is revered for its association with purity and wisdom.
Oil Lamp Bowl: Below the Annanpakshi is the traditional oil lamp bowl, which holds oil (commonly sesame or coconut oil) and wicks.
Multi-Layer Bells: The lamp features multiple tiers of intricately designed small brass bells hanging from circular rings. When moved or touched, these bells produce a soft, soothing chime, adding a spiritual and serene ambiance.
Ornate Base: The base is wide and stable, often decorated with floral or traditional motifs.
Religious Rituals: Used in temples and pooja rooms for daily worship or during festivals like Diwali, Onam, and Karthigai Deepam.
Ceremonial Purposes: Commonly used in weddings, housewarming ceremonies, and temple inaugurations.
Decorative: Acts as a stunning centerpiece in traditional or modern interiors.
Care and Maintenance:
Cleaning: Regularly clean with a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda, or use tamarind paste to remove tarnish. Rinse and dry thoroughly to prevent watermarks.
Polishing: Use brass polish periodically to maintain the shine.
Bell Maintenance: Ensure the hanging bells are clean and free of dust to allow them to chime clearly.
